Refund Policy
How refunds and cancellations work across our products and services.

1. Overview
This Refund Policy explains when you are eligible for a refund or cancellation across Ceres Infotech's products: domain registration, web hosting, cloud servers, bulk SMS credits, and custom software development services. Refund eligibility varies by product due to the nature of each service, as described below.
2. Domain Names
Domain registrations, renewals, and transfers are generally non-refundable once processed, as registry fees are paid to the relevant domain registry (e.g. Verisign, NIXI) at the time of registration. Accidental duplicate registrations may be eligible for a refund if requested within 5 days and the domain has not yet been used or configured, at our discretion.
3. Web Hosting & Cloud Servers
New hosting and cloud server subscriptions come with a 7-day money-back guarantee from the date of purchase, provided the account has not exceeded reasonable resource usage limits. After this period, subscriptions are non-refundable for the current billing cycle, but you may cancel auto-renewal at any time to avoid being charged for the next cycle. Refunds are not available for partial months/years already in use, except where required by law.
4. Bulk SMS Credits
SMS credits are non-refundable once messages have been sent using them. Unused SMS credit balances may be eligible for a refund within 15 days of purchase, provided no messages have been sent from the relevant package. DLT registration and telecom operator fees, where applicable, are non-refundable.
5. Custom Software Development Services
Custom software, web, and mobile app development engagements are billed on a milestone basis as defined in the project's statement of work. Payments for completed and delivered milestones are non-refundable. If a project is cancelled before a milestone is delivered, any advance paid for that specific milestone will be refunded on a pro-rata basis after deducting work already completed.
6. Non-Refundable Items
- Domain registration, renewal, and transfer fees once processed by the registry;
- SMS credits that have already been used to send messages;
- Custom development milestones that have been delivered and accepted;
- Any third-party fees paid on your behalf (e.g. SSL certificates, licenses) once issued.
7. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, raise a support ticket from your dashboard or email us at info@ceresinfotech.com with your order number and reason for the request. Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method within 7–10 business days.
8. Chargebacks
Please contact us before initiating a chargeback with your bank or card issuer — we aim to resolve billing concerns directly and promptly. Unwarranted chargebacks may result in suspension of your account pending resolution.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. The updated policy will apply to orders placed after the “Last updated” date above.
